SMBF.EPR is a product of the SMBF platform for packaging EPR obligations of online stores in Europe. It links sales countries, order data, packaging composition, registration steps, calculation, national reporting format and filing evidence into one workflow. The system does not reduce everything to one green status. For each country, the responsibility, registration number, agreement with the system or PRO, representative, data readiness, reporting period, responsible person and evidence of completion are separately visible.
First of all, small and medium-sized e-commerce that sells goods to customers in one or more EU countries through its own store, marketplaces, or both channels. The product is especially useful when the assortment, countries and volume of orders can no longer be reliably maintained in one table. SMBF is also suitable for an accountant, compliance manager or agency that is responsible for several legal entities. For non-standard industries, industrial packaging or complex import chains, a separate scope check is first carried out.
A ready-made area of the platform is SMBF.EPR: preliminary verification of countries, coverage map, work with packaging data, preparation of calculations and Country filings, control of registration steps and monitoring of changes. The currently available service level L0–L5 is shown separately for each country. SMBF.VAT, SMBF.TAX and SMBF.FIN remain areas of development and should not be perceived as available products. The status of a specific integration or submission is also verified prior to the contract rather than being implied from the general word “automation”.
Yes, all 27 countries are present in the monitoring map: for them you can track legislation, reporting format, official sources and changes. But monitoring does not mean that registration or filing is already fully carried out by SMBFs in each country. The actual capability level is indicated on the map next to the country. If only information or assessment is available, the system does not call it managed filing. This approach allows you to see the entire EU and at the same time not hide operational restrictions.
The preliminary result is available without an email. Saving it and agreeing managed support are separate next steps.
