Under the current PPWR rule, an EU company selling packaged products directly to end users in Slovakia must appoint an EPR authorised representative there. A local representative route exists, but a universal third-country mandate was not confirmed for every packaging scenario. A pending EU proposal may suspend the EU cross-border rule, but it has not changed current law.
Country brief
Packaging EPR in Slovakia
Slovak packaging producers register in the Ministry register/ISOH and report either individually or through an OZV compliance organisation.

- General information

PPWR still requires annual packaging data below 10 tonnes; the dataset is simplified rather than exempt, and a Member State can set a lower simplification limit or require quarterly reporting. The up-to-100 kg limited-producer rule relieves only some duties; it is not a registration/reporting exemption.
Legal requirements
What the national route may require.
This is general information based on the official sources linked below. The answer still depends on the legal entity, transaction, recipient, packaging stream, and rule in force.

Register packaging producer in MŽP SR register published in ISOH.[2]
Meet producer responsibility through individual compliance or OZV and report annual volumes by 28 February.[3]
Foreign producers may use written splnomocnený zástupca; mandatory status for all foreign persons is not directly confirmed. Certified signature is required for paper mandate.[EU]
